CORRADO CURTI
Board Member
Corrado Curti, (1975) was educated in Engineering and Architecture at the Politecnico di Torino. Received the Structural Engineering Diploma under Professor Giuseppe Mancini in 2000 (the Dipoma project was given the Bertelé National Award and the Segre Award) and the Architecture Diploma under Professors Piergorgio Tosoni and Guy Lafranchi in 2003. Achieved the PhD in Architecture Theory and Construction at the Politecnico di Torino in 2005, with a research about Architecture and Indeterminacy of the Built Form.
He holds a Research Grant and teaches at the Politecnico di Torino School of Architecture, with Professor Gianfranco Cavaglià. His main field of interest is about tools and methods to include indeterminacy and unpredictability in the architectural project in analogy with the field of thermodynamics of complex systems. He has taken part in RIEA.ch activities since 2000.
PROJECTS
He is Associated Architect with Stefano Pujatti at ElasticoSPA office (
www.elasticospa.com), an experimentally oriented practice founded in 2005 working in the field of architecture and urbanism whose works have been widely published and exhibited in several events such as the
Venice Biennale (2006
), the
Bienal de Arquitectura de Brasilia (2006) and the
London Architecture Festival (2008).
